This is also a great example of great winter/spring management, what I mean by this is when we keep all the grass plants level and even, they will all grow at the same rate. It is also a very healthy practice to clean all the autumns and winters leave and stem off, this will allow the new spring growth to have a clean and easier start. When the new leaves come through and are clean, every part of the leaf will be able to take energy from the spring sun.
