 In golf we talk about and expect the perfect roll and colour all year round.

 But is this a fair expectation in the UK, with a huge range in budget and challenges from location.

We at GSS enjoy spending time listing to “the talking greenkeeper” podcast, this is done by an American greenkeeper called Joe Gulotti. The reason is that Joe is a funny guy who is super easy to listen to, and also he has a great ability to host some smashingly interesting guests.

It as been said often on the podcast that golf may well need to change a little going forward, in terms of our expectations with regards the perfect roll 365 days of the year over the globe. Ken Seims (DryJect & ex Loch Lomand GC)was on the podcast and can be quoted as saying “the roll is on a surface and not a colour”.

The above and our own findings from years of experience has driven us to our current position, we now supply or clients with soil testing facilities as well as GSS seed mixtures.
